A Hot Meal To Share

In the heart of a bustling city, beneath the shadows of towering skyscrapers, a single mother with a resilience that shone brighter than the world around her. With her two young children, by her side, the streets they called home were cruel and unforgiving, yet the mother's love provided a shield against the harsh realities of their world.

One chilly evening, as the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in shades of pink and orange, their stomachs echoed with hunger. They had heard whispers of a food drive starting soon in a nearby park amidst their struggle. Clutching her children's hands tightly, the mother led them toward the promise of a warm meal, hope flickering in her heart like a delicate flame.

Finally, as they reached the front of the line and received their meals, the simple act felt almost sacred. Sitting on a nearby bench, they shared the meal, each bite a symbol of survival and love. In that moment, amidst the laughter and soft words, the mother felt a peace wash over her.

Despite the uncertainty of tomorrow, they had each other, and for now, that was enough. The food drive had not only nourished their bodies, but also their spirits, igniting a fire of renewed hope within them.

This and many other stories come from our monthly food drive where we serve our community in need of healthy, hot, halal meals. We see the need of our community and have been trying to stay consistent monthly to provide these families with the meals they need so at least they have a few meals which can sooth their hunger.

We also provide them with resources and additional donations to ensure they can survive the upcoming week. To continue to do this we need your support. Let's continue to do our best to help these families in need.
