Najam Institute was founded in 2012 by Mufti Mohammed Samir Wahid with intention to serve the Muslim community at large in America and around the world.

Najam Institute is a non-profit organization who provides aid locally and internationally. Additionally serves as the parent organization for Islamic Institute of Atlanta, an Islamic Seminary, Al Furqan Academy an Accredited Private K - 12 and Darul Arqam Institute a local Musallah.

Our Najam Zakat branch is lead by Shaykh Omar Baig: Who completed his Alimiyyah course from Darul Uloom Canada in 2013. He then went on to study Iftaa from Darul Uloom Bury from 2013 to 2014.  Additionally, Shaykh Omar Baig has completed a Bachelors degree in Islamic Law from Madinah University from 2015 to 2019. Currently, he is attending INCEIF University and perusing his Executive Master's degree Islamic finance.
